And His Father was recorded by Playboy Spaceman at Peabody’s Monster, a cooperative music and art space in Juneau, Alaska. It was a magical week of experimentation and musical immersion. Like a mandala, we built the studio up out of materials and gear available, created something out of the moment, and disassembled it after the recording process was complete. This record is an epic sound odyssey: deep and despairing; yet ecstatic and hopeful
